This is a dive, a literal hole in a wall where you order and your food pops out later. We went here for breakfast on a Saturday. There was a short line but the wait for food after ordering was very long. They take phone-in orders which we did not know about. You order at the hole in the wall and then hope to find a place at one of the 4 tables outside. The food was good. I had a mini breakfast which came with 2 eggs, a protein, and hash browns for $10. The eggs were tasty but needed salt. The bacon in Hawaii is really good, I don't know if it what they feed their pigs or what, but the bacon I have had is far tastier than the bacon in Dallas. The hash browns were good but really greasy. The kid had a chocolate chip pancake and liked it a lot. The wife had loco moco and really liked it. The beef patty was good quality and the brown gravy was excellent. Three good breakfasts for $38. Not bad. They accept cash only. I am penalizing them maybe half a star for exceptionally slow service, which was exacerbated by a hungry, winey kid.

First time eating here and I was pleasantly surprised! I knew I wanted to order the short ribs, but my friend also recommended the garlic chicken. Might as well get a combo and try both! My son got the Kalbi/Shrimp combo - I think it's called the Big J Special. We also got the Peanut Butter rolls! All were so ono. My son didn't care for the shrimp too much but still said it was alright. He suggested less citrusy and more garlicky Service is a little slower than usual because it's made to order. We waited about 35 mins for our food. Cost is average/high, but they definitely don't skimp. We could've just shared one plate - ended up bringing home an entire full plate of our leftovers. We were so full that we didn't eat the rolls until later. Would definitely come here again to try some of the other items

Very convenient breakfast place by Laie and North shore area. The loco moco and Mac nut pancakes are the best! Very friendly staff. They do cash only but there's a next door CVS with ATM machine or you can do cash back. The food is piping hot and perfect.
